Tom told me there has been a nest here for at least the last six or eight years. He said that it wasn't there last Tuesday, the 7th of March. I wonder if she had just laid the eggs when I saw her on Friday the 10th.

Last year the geese disappeared, leaving the eggs behind. Tom never knew what happened.
