On Friday,
March 10, 2000, I was going to Michigan Avenue along the walkway between the Chicago
River and the Sun-Times building. As I got close to the Wrigley Building, I noticed
a goose posturing in the water and a couple of sea gulls flying around.
Then I saw
something that amazed me...on a wooden piling adjacent to the Wrigley Building,
there was a goose and four or five eggs. She was next to them, making adjustments
to the nest (see arrow at left).
